Will your home school program work for my dyslexic child?
Although we do not offer any special services for home school children with dyslexia, there are several elements of our online home school curriculum that are suited for dyslexic children. Our software can be used to sound out words so that students become more familiar with how words are pronounced. Secondly, our online home school curriculum allows students to work at their own pace. This means that home school students with dyslexia have all the time in the world to ensure that they comprehend the meaning of what they are reading without feeling any pressure to keep up with the group.
Do you accept students with special education needs?
The Jubilee Academy Home School program is pleased to accept home school students with special needs. However, our online home school program does not provide any special services above what we normally offer all of our online home schoolers.
Students with ADD/ADHD seem to perform well at The Jubilee Academy. Because of our online home school structure, we are able to allow online home school students to learn at their own pace. When online home schooling, students are free from distractions and peer pressures, free to pursue learning and nothing else. The quiet, calm, comforting, and safe atmosphere of one’s home is a great place for students with ADD/ADHD to learn. We encourage parents to talk to their child’s doctor or therapist to see if The Jubilee Academy online home school program is right for them.
