Christianity & Homeschooling: Praising the Greatness of Eternal Power! Teaching Praising in Homeschool
By Mimi Rothschild
Homeschooling children know the universal power of the Lord and believe in giving Him praise for all the goodness in Earth and Heaven above. You can find endless energy in your homeschooling child to celebrate the divine power of God.
A homeschool child is a bundle of enthusiasm and knowledge. Teach him the value of praising the God and forming a relationship with the Almighty so that he gets His divine blessing.
Your homeschool child should know the essence of growing spiritually. Praise for the Creator can be incorporated into everyday life. Infuse an environment with soulful music and let the child feel the resonance of God's voice through the most mellifluous of music dedicated to God's love. The homeschool child understands the words clearly and rapidly and soon he or she will be singing the songs that will motivate you and you will feel excited about God's presence in your family.
You can also make your homeschool child recite verses and Scriptures from the Bible. There will be a song of praise which your homeschool child will definitely like and encourage him or her to sway to the music. Most of the children love to dance to the tunes of their favorite music. Psalm 34:1 has stated in praise of the Lord, “will extol the Lord at all times; his praise will always be on my lips." Taking a leaf from the verse, your homeschool child should be encouraged to praise God in all his noble glory. You can read the verse aloud to your child at least three times a week in homeschool.
You can ask your homeschool children to enact a story found in the Bible and give various parts for each child to play. Not only will it make for an exciting activity, but it will also make the homeschool child feel special. You can also assemble all the children in one place and tell them a Bible story. You can ask your homeschool children about how they plan to incorporate the teachings from the gospel in their lives.
Your homeschool child should not be pressured into memorizing. Your child will begin to memorize longer verses on his own as you continue with the Bible studies and memory exercises. Let the homeschooling child know the value of giving praise to the Lord and the people. Create an atmosphere of music, dancing, story telling and skit activity, and your homeschool will exude a spiritual vibrancy that is serene and full of life.
